Where We Work

APaD operates in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) of Northern Kenya and in strategically important cross-border pastoralist regions within the IGAD’s Karamoja (Ateker) Cluster. Our geographic focus reflects areas most affected by fragility, climate shocks, and resource-based conflict, where integrated and locally led interventions are critical for sustainable impact:

  • 📍Kenya: Turkana, West Pokot, Marsabit, Baringo & Samburu Counties
  • 🌍IGAD’s Karamoja (Ateker) Cluster: International borderlands of Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Ethiopia.
